Rückenwind App

The Rückenwind Reisen app was developed to make it easier for you to find your way around during your original Rückenwind cycle tour and to save you having to constantly look at the maps and detailed route descriptions. The app is available free of charge and works easily on any smartphone (Android, iPhone).

Important note: The maps are also available in offline mode, so there are no roaming charges abroad.

The GPX tracks for the daily cycle tours and the GPS coordinates for the booked hotels are available free of charge on request. They are sent by e-mail and the data can simply be requested from us before travelling.

What can the app do?

• The Rückenwind Reisen app is available for Android and iPhone, free of charge and ad-free.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app works with offline maps. The required data and mobile cycle maps can be downloaded at home, so there are no roaming charges.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app is very easy to use. Route finding is wonderfully simple.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app always shows you the way. This means that missing route markings and minor uncertainties are no longer a problem.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app shows your current position with just one click and you can see directly whether you are on the right track.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app uses the GPS coordinates of your booked hotel and guides you to your destination as the crow flies.
• With just a few clicks, the Rückenwind Reisen app shows you the entire route of the selected day's stage - including the distance travelled and the remaining distance.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app works safely and reliably, but you also receive the usual map material and route descriptions.
• The Rückenwind Reisen app works hand in hand with our detailed travel documents to guide you to your desired destination.

With our app, orientation is child's play and you can concentrate even more on the beauty of your surroundings. In addition to the app, you will also find lots of other information about your trip. On the Rhône I and II and South Burgundy tours, you will receive an e-mail with your access data for downloading.

As we are still under construction, all guests will receive our route books by post or at the latest on site for last-minute bookings.

Quick guide
Basic setting: Allow the app to access the location on notifications in order to receive push notifications on the lock screen.

After selecting the trip, you will be taken to the overview map and the individual daily stages, as well as useful information about the app, how to get there and local tips.

You can also send us an e-mail with your comments about the trip or the FAQs via "Technical help". 

 

Navigation
Select the day's stage and the corresponding route and start navigation by clicking on the "Start route navigation" button.

You have the following options in the operating menu:

• Start/stop navigation: Start with the direction arrow/stop with X.
• Map pointing north/direction of travel: With the compass
• Update position: With the target circle.
• The viewing angle of the map can be changed with two fingers simultaneously on the display and you can also zoom in on the map.
