The fresh air, the loneliness, the unspoiled nature and the cosmopolitan cities make Sweden a dream destination in the far north of Europe. On our bike tours you can enjoy all this in one. You cycle through untouched nature and can breathe the fresh air all day long. And you have longer days. In Stockholm, the capital, the sun sets behind the horizon for about three hours in early July, while in some regions of northern Sweden it does not set at all from mid-June to late July. Therefore no Swede is to be kept in the house at Midsommar. When the sun doesn’t go down, the cheerful Swede becomes a very sociable type.
Round trip Stockholm by bike
On this bike tour you will experience one of Sweden’s most beautiful regions. Situated west of Stockholm (away) is Sweden’s third largest lake – Lake Mälaren. It is a popular excursion destination and a recreation area for many city dwellers. Unbuilt nature attracts many people who long for solitude, nature and recreation.
Because of its many islands, Swedes often refer to Lake Mälaren as the inner archipelago of Stockholm. Archipelagoes are islands formed during the Ice Age. The Mälaren are in many ways a very special body of water. On the cycling tour around Stockholm you will spend the night in Södertälje, which is located on the canal between Mälaren and the Baltic Sea.
Fairytale Castle and Sweden pure
Your next stage destination Mariefred impresses with narrow streets, wooden houses and an idyllic atmosphere. Visitors will find nice galleries, cafes and small shops in a beautiful location on the Mälaren. The main attraction is the Gripsholm Castle, right on the shore of the lake. It is considered one of the biggest tourist attractions of Sörmland. The castle is known to German-speaking visitors through Kurt Tucholsky’s love story of the same name.
Picturesque seaside resort on the Baltic Sea
In Trosa there are cozy streets, pastel-coloured houses and numerous shops. A small river flows through the village and in summer there is always a lot going on. Take a walk through the town and get out into nature to strengthen your body and soul. Here you have many options.
You just have to love Western Sweden!
There are many reasons for a holiday in Sweden – a new reason is the cycle path along the west coast of Sweden. Helsingborg is located on the eastern bank of the Öresund opposite Denmark. In addition, there is good sea air in this area and the well-known good food of the region. After your cycle stage an excellent place to relax and end the day beautifully. And there follow other beautiful places that are right on the coast.
Just like Kungsbacka is on your way to Gothenburg. This place is located at the confluence of the two rivers Söderân and Kungsbackaân, so it is surrounded by the coast, fjords, lakes, forests and nature reserves. There are many bathing places, both by the sea and by the inland lakes.
