A truly fairytale tour! Even if the name does not necessarily suggest it at first - whoever deals with the German legend world will sooner or later encounter the Pied Piper of Hamelin. With this 4-day short trip, Rückenwind Reisen has dedicated a tour along the Weser to the famous figure. Enjoy with us the untouched nature, the historic towns and the enjoyable culinary delights!
The Pied Piper Tour in a nutshell
Swing into the saddle - off you go! The starting point of your tour is the picturesque Hann. Münden with numerous half-timbered houses and a special idyll on the three rivers Fulda, Werra and Weser. On the first stage you will cross Hemeln and pass the imposing Bursfelde Monastery. Bad Karlshafen is not only waiting with lots of culture and history. The Weser thermal baths in southern French style provide ultimate relaxation.
On day 3, there are plenty of highlights to "cycle through" - on the way to Holzminden or Bodenwerder, you will first pass Fürstenberg Castle. The pretty townscape of Höxter invites you to park your bike for a short time and enjoy a walk through the alleys. For the finale of the tour, you are guaranteed to encounter one or the other fairy tale character. Toast the past four days of the tour in the pretty old town of Hamelin and memorize the special impressions for your return to everyday life.
Regional treasures along the route
Are you looking for nice souvenirs for the ones at home? Then why not take along one of the extraordinary pieces from the widely known Fürstenberg porcelain manufactory. Or perhaps you will enjoy a scented or aromatic oil from Holzminden. A historical speciality is the castle complex of Corvey and of course the countless characteristic buildings of the Weser Renaissance.
