Individual arrival in Münster by late afternoon, information meeting and bike handover (if booked). Perhaps enjoy some time in the evening on Münster's lively historic market square.

Your route today takes you through the ‘Emsdettener Venn’ moorland to Rheine. The Bentlage monastery is an impressive building here, and Rheine's medieval-looking market square is also charming.

You cycle through a picturesque landscape with river meadows and forests to Lingen. Lingen is a cultural centre in Emsland, whose beautiful market square is flanked by the historic town hall and gabled houses.

Today you cycle past meadows, fields and small villages to Meppen. The beautiful “town on the water” presents itself with many historic buildings. Along the way, there are always opportunities to observe nature or take a break in a café.

You cycle through the Dörpen water landscape with lakes, rivers, heathland, forest and moorland. Your destination is Papenburg, also known as the ‘Venice of the North’ due to its canals and bascule bridges. The city is famous for the construction of cruise ships at the Meyer shipyard.

When you arrive in Leer, you are already very close to the North Sea. With its 365 individual monuments, Leer's old town centre is one of the most important in East Frisia.

A ferry will take you from Ditzum to the fishing village of Petkum today (ferry not included). Enjoy the end of the day in a landscape characterised by the sea.
