Embarkation between 4 and 5 p.m. You will spend the first night and evening in Saarburg. In its centre you will find a waterfall of 20 meters deep as well as many baroque buildings and fisher houses.
Today you will cycle from Saarburg along the idyllic nature reserve of the abandoned meander of the River Saar. Further on to Wasserbillig in Luxemburg and from here to the Igeler Säule. Later you will reach Trier, where MS PATRIA is already waiting for you.
Today you will reach Bernkastel-Kues by bike. The market place from the Middle Ages with many wood timbered houses invites you for a rest. On your way you visit Neumagen-Dhron which is the oldest wine city of Germany. Further on you reach Piesport, the oldest wine growing community along the Moselle. You should take the time to enjoy the popular wines.
Today’s bike tour brings you to romantic Traben-Trarbach, where Jugendstil architecture shows its best side. Continuing to Zell, well known wine village on the Moselle. In the evening you will have the chance to visit a local winegrowers place and enjoy a wine tasting with the famous Moselle wines (optional, bookable on board).
The perfect maintained historical centre of Beilstein, “the Sleeping Beauty of the Mosel”, is waiting for you. Today’s tour ends in Cochem with the Reichsburg. Cochem is a lovely little town with historical half-timbered-houses and a picturesque Old town.
Today you can spend the day on board and relax on the sundeck. Enjoy the beautiful Moselle landscape passing by and stroll along the “Deutsche Eck” in Koblenz in the afternoon, where Moselle and Rhine flow together. Experienced cyclist can cycle from Cochem to Koblenz and visit Burg Eltz.
Disembarkation after breakfast until 9:00 a.m. Individual journey home.
The route
Very good cycle paths, mostly with asphalted or metalled surface. No climbs worth mentioning. Therefore this tour is perfectly suited for the lesser fit cyclists.

Comfortable and cosy river ship with family environment. The ship was refurbished in 2015/2016. The panoramic salon with bar in gentlemen club-style and the bright and friendly restaurant are waiting for you to pass relaxing hours here. A spacious, partly shaded sun deck and storage space for bicycles. A total of 49 comfortable outside cabins for a max. of 96 guests. Main deck: 21 two-bed-cabins (about 11 qm). Upper deck: 22 two-bed-cabins (about 11 qm), 4 cabins of bigger size at the stern of the ship (12 qm, 3 of which feature twin beds; during the trip increased noise perception) as well as two single cabins about 9 qm). All cabins boast en-suite bathroom, hair dryer, telephone, TV, individual air conditioning/heating, fridge, safe und large panoramic window. On the Upper deck, cabins feature opening windows.

Schöne Reise
Es war eine Premiere für mich, die mir gut gefallen hat. Nur 2 kleine Mankos waren zu verzeichnen: in meiner Kabine war es leider sehr laut. Dass es in dieser Kabine so sein kann, war mir erst bewußt, als ich die Reiseunterlagen zugeschickt bekam. Das nächste Mal werde ich vorher fragen, welche Kabine ich zugewiesen bekomme. Zweitens war die Kommunikation mit dem Personal auf dem Schiff ein wenig schwierig. Im Normalfall durchaus ausreichend, da ich aber auf eine Diät angewiesen bin, gab es leider ein paar kleine Schwierigkeiten. Im Großen und Ganzen war es aber eine sehr gut organisierte Reise.

Lieben Dank für Ihre Rückmeldung zu Ihrer ersten Rad- und Schiffreise. Es freut uns zu lesen, dass Ihnen die Tour so gut gefallen hat. Sie haben auf dem Oberdeck die Kabine 224 bekommen, etwas achtern. Ich selbst bin bereits dreimal auf der Olympia gefahren, u.a. auch diese Tour, immer in Kabine 228, also noch zwei Kabinen weiter hinten. Im Gegensatz zu Ihnen habe ich die Kabine überhaupt nicht als laut empfunden. Der Maschinenraum ist zwei Stockwerke darunter und ich habe mich gewundert, dass es nicht laut war. Da kann man wieder sehen, wie subjektiv das persönliche Empfinden ist😊. Wenn Sie eine Kabine in der Schiffsmitte wählen, sind Sie zwar weiter vom Maschinenraum entfernt, dafür gibt es mehr Gästegeräusche. Auf solch einem kleinen Schiff gibt es keine Kabine, die wirklich ganz ruhig ist. Aber natürlich können Sie bei der Buchung Ihre Wunschkabine anfragen. Ihre Essenswünsche haben wir an das Schiff weiter geleitet und es tut uns sehr leid zu hören, dass das kommunikativ nicht reibungslos lief. Die Crew stammt hauptsächlich aus Fernost und spricht nur rudimentär deutsch. Trotz Ihrer für Sie nicht ganz perfekten Reise würden wir uns sehr freuen, Sie eines Tages wieder an Bord eines unserer Schiffe begrüßen zu dürfen.

Eine ausgezeichnete Reise, sehr empfehlenswert
Urlaub von der ersten Minute an. Kompetente und stets freundliche Reiseleitung und Crew. Die Strecken sind gut ausgebaut. Ausflüge waren gut dosiert und sehr informativ. Am schönsten war die Weinprobe im Weinberg Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. Anregung: Verlängern sie die Reise bis Mettlach.
